10 Things To Do in Krabi
Offering you a curated list of must-try activities that capture the essence of this captivating destination.

Morning Kayaking Adventures
While you can kayak almost anywhere there's water, we affirm that kayaking in Krabi is an experience not to be missed. Particularly at Nong Thale, a large freshwater lake surrounded by intricate limestone mountains. In the mornings, there's often a gentle mist floating above the lake, and paddling into the lake, you can feel the mist up close.

Exploring Caves
Amidst the intricate limestone mountains that abound both in the sea and on the mainland of Krabi province, there are numerous stunning caves worth visiting.
Many caves allow boat tours, such as Tham Khao Khanab Nam (Krabi Town) and Tham Phi Hua To (Ao Luek District), which features prehistoric human cave paintings.

Local Southern Cuisine
Southern Thai cuisine is renowned for its rich and spicy flavors, appreciated by both locals and tourists alike.
We recommend a popular eatery among tourists in Krabi, which is the Khanom Jeen Ko Choi restaurant . It serves flavorful Khanom Jeen (Thai rice flour noodle with curry), accompanied by a plethora of fresh vegetables. However, if you're not a fan of spicy food, their fried chicken is another signature dish worth trying.

Fresh Seafood
Certainly, indulging in fresh seafood when by the sea is an experience not to be missed. You can find seafood almost everywhere in Krabi province. However, the must-try dish we recommend is the boiled Dog Conch (Hoi-Chak-Teen or หอยชักตีน) served with spicy dipping sauce.

Longtail Boat Ride
An iconic mode of transportation in Krabi province is the longtail boat, a traditional wooden vessel used by fishermen since ancient times. Despite being small, these boats are well-designed to navigate the waves and winds of the Thai seas efficiently. Additionally, the distinctive bow of the boat serves as a picturesque backdrop, instantly recognizable to anyone visiting Krabi.

Island Hopping
Looking out onto the sea, you'll see countless islands dotting the horizon. Try opting for island-hopping trips, which offer various routes. For example, the 4 Islands Tour (Poda Island, Chicken Island, Tup Island, and Phra Nang Cave Beach) departing from Ao Nang.
The Hong Islands Tour takes you to islands with large lagoons amidst towering limestone cliffs. Departures are from Klong Heng Pier (10 minutes from Ao Nang) and Tha Len Pier.
Additionally, there's the 5 Islands Tour departing from Koh Lanta, showcasing the most beautiful snorkeling spots.

Diving allows you to immerse yourself in the marine environment fully. If you're into diving, I recommend heading to Ko Haa, starting from Ko Lanta, Krabi province.
Ko Haa is a group of limestone islands with numerous diving spots ranging from shallow depths of 3 meters, suitable for all kind snorkeler , to depths exceeding 20 meters, requiring advanced diving equipment.
Koh Haa is also known for its vibrant coral reefs and mysterious underwater caves.

Challenging yourself to get up close and personal with those stunning limestone cliffs is best done through rock climbing.
Railay Beach, Krabi, boasts the best rock climbing spots in Thailand. There are several climbing schools where you can learn and start climbing beginner-level routes immediately. If you're up for the challenge, you can also push yourself with more difficult climbing routes.

Sunset Viewing
Upon reaching Railay Beach, after your rock climbing adventure, don't miss the chance to watch the sunset against the sky. One of the most beautiful spots is in front of the Princess Cave at Railay Bay.
Besides, there are many other places suitable for watching the sunset, such as Klong Hang Beach, Tha Len Bay, and Koh Lanta.
