Learn, Love, Care

A different way to experience the sea

@Ko Thalu

STORY

See & Do

Not every island visit leaves the same trace.
Some places invite you to give something back.

On Ko Thalu, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand, nature remains remarkably intact—both above and below the surface. But what makes it truly special is not just its beauty, but how it is cared for.

There is only one resort here, quietly shaping a different kind of stay. Guests arrive for rest, but find themselves part of something more—where conservation blends naturally into the experience.

At the centre of it all is a sea turtle conservation program, run in collaboration with the Siam Marine Rehabilitation Foundation. From nesting to hatching, and eventually releasing young turtles back into the ocean, each step is guided with care.

Every morning, guests can take part.

Simple tasks—cleaning tanks, gently brushing turtle shells—become small acts of care. Along the way, you learn not just about turtles, but about the role you can play in protecting them.

For families, there is also a thoughtful touch. Children can join a simulated turtle egg activity, learning how conservation teams protect nests when turtles come ashore.

And sometimes, if timing allows, the experience becomes unforgettable.

Tiny hatchlings emerge from the sand and begin their first journey toward the sea.

No staging. No spectacle.
Just nature, quietly continuing—
and you, becoming part of it.
